The Beginning....

As many of you know, our life took a dramatic left hand turn after Eric was involved in a car accident due to a drunk driver...while on police duty. The accident left him with chronic cervical neck & nerve pain, also known as occipital neuralgia. He was medically retired from the Arlington Police Department (APD) in 2009, but that did not stop his dreams of making his life something special.


Our "original" plan was to relocate to somewhere "wonderful" after he completed his 20 years at APD. Though he did not attain his pension, we were able to sit down and write out a new life plan. I recall his exact words, "why cant we still live our dream of relocating", which all lead to where we are today. His insight of turning lemons into the sweetest lemonade ever was life changing.


For the last 2 years, we have planed our move to the island of Oahu. Our passion for Hawaii began when we decided to get married on Maui in 2007. We traveled to Honolulu, HI for first time in February 2010 as this island offers the best of both worlds: a strong job market & amazing scenery.
